Martino Alessandrini Print

Biography

Martino Alessandrini was born in Bologna (Italy), in 1983. He received his M.Sc. degree in "Electronic Engineering for Biomedical Applications" in October 2007 and his B.Sc. in "Electronic Engineering" in 2005, both from the University of Bologna, Bologna, Italy. Since January 2008 he's pursuing a Ph.D. degree from the "Advanced Research Center on Electronic Systems for Information and Communication Technologies Ercole De Castro" (ARCES) at the University of Bologna. Between March 2009 and March 2010 he was visiting fellow at the "Centre de recherche en imagerie m?dicale" (CREATIS), under the supervision of Prof. Olivier Basset.

His research activity mainly concerns analysis and processing of medical ultrasound
data, with an emphasis on restoration, segmentation and classification techniques.

  • Statistical image and signal processing 
  • Inverse problems for image and signal restoration
  • Variational techniques for segmentation, restoration and denoising
