Biography

Guido Masetti was born in Bologna, Italy in 1947. He graduated in Elecronics Engineering from the University of Bologna in 1971. From 1971 to 1975 he was with the Institute of Electronics, Faculty of Engineering, Bologna University. From 1975 to 1980 he was with the LAMEL Laboratory (National Research Council), Bologna, and with the Electronics Department, Ancona University (Italy), where he was an Associate Professor.
From 1980 to 1986, he was a Full Professor of Electronic Components at the University of Ancona.
Since 1986, he has been a Full Professor of Applied Electronics at the University of Bologna.

His research activity includes modelling of the technological processes of IC design, modelling of MOS devices, design of MOS linear integrated circuits, analysis of electromagnetic interferences on integrated circuits, and signal processing for medical applications. Prof. Masetti has published more than 120 papers on International Journals or on Proceedings of International Conferences.

At the University of Bologna he is teaching two courses: Design of Analog Integrated Circuits and Analog Integrated Circuits. During last years he held several positions at the University: Member of the Administration Council and Head of the Electronic Institute at Ancona University, President of the Council of Professors in Electronics from 1981 to 1984 (Ancona University) and from 1992 to 1995 (Bologna University). From 1995 to 2001 he was President of the Committee for Courses in Engineering at the University of Bologna and from 2001 to 2007 Dean of the Faculty of Engineering.
Since 2006 he is Vice Rector of the University of Bologna in charge for the Teaching Activity.
