BiographyEmanuele Baravelli was born in Bologna, Italy. He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electronic engineering from the University of Bologna, Bologna, Italy, in 2002 and 2004, respectively. In 2008, he pursued the Ph.D. degree under the European Doctorate on Information Technology (EDITH) Program at the University of Bologna. In 2005, he joined the Advanced Research Center on Electronic Systems (ARCES), University of Bologna. He is also collaborating with the Inter University Microelectronics
Center (IMEC), in the CMOS Device Research Department. His current
research interests include semiconductor device simulation, with
particular emphasis on automatic gridding techniques and investigation
of short-range variations in MuGFETs. Besides, he is involved in Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) applications exploiting advanced time-frequency signal processing techniques.
